1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Praxik, LLC (“Praxik,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Thistle desktop application, the Praxik website at www.praxik.com, the Thistle support page, and communications with Praxik.

This policy does not govern services operated independently by other companies, such as Apple’s App Store. Those services are governed by their own privacy terms.

2. Information we handle

Thistle calculations and project files

Thistle performs calculations locally. The app does not require an account and does not transmit your equations, variable values, calculation results, or project files to Praxik. Project files are stored only in locations you choose on your device.

Information you provide for support

If you email, call, or otherwise contact Praxik, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, the contents of your message, and any files or diagnostic details you choose to send. Please remove confidential or sensitive information from project files before sharing them with us.

Website and security information

When you visit Praxik’s website, our hosting and security provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested page, date and time, and security or error logs. Praxik does not use advertising pixels or behavioral analytics trackers on the site.

App Store information

If you obtain Thistle through an app marketplace, the marketplace provider processes download, purchase, device, and account information under its own privacy policy. Praxik may receive aggregated marketplace statistics or diagnostic reports made available by the provider, depending on your device and privacy settings.

3. How we use information

We use information we receive only as reasonably necessary to:

• respond to support requests and communicate with you;
• diagnose errors and improve Thistle and the Praxik website;
• operate, secure, and maintain our services;
• prevent fraud, misuse, or security incidents; and
• comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.

Praxik does not use Thistle project content for advertising, train models on your project content, or build advertising profiles about users.

4. How we share information

Praxik does not sell personal information, rent it to others, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited information in these circumstances:

• Service providers. Vendors that provide website hosting, security, email, or other operational services may process information only to perform those services for us.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, lawful process, or a valid government request, or to protect rights, safety, and service security.
• Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

5. Retention and security

We retain support communications and related information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain business records, improve our products, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Hosting and security providers may retain technical logs under their own documented retention practices.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

Because Thistle project data remains on your device, you control that data through your local files and device settings. You can choose whether to contact support and what information to include.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond as required by applicable law.

7. Children’s privacy

Thistle and the Praxik website are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. Praxik does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

8. Third-party services

Praxik uses third parties to distribute the app and operate the website. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies:

• Apple Privacy Policy for App Store and Apple service information.
• Cloudflare Privacy Policy for website hosting, delivery, and security information.

Third-party links may take you to websites Praxik does not control. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice when required by law.
